How to create a WhatsApp link for a customer
- Enter the country code and number. The default is +91 (India). Paste the number in any format; the tool removes spaces, dashes and brackets, and drops a leading 0 trunk prefix. If you paste a full number that starts with + or 00, that country code is used instead.
- Choose a sales template or write your own. Type the customer's name to fill {name}, and replace the [bracketed] parts with the real date, time or amount.
- Copy, open or scan. Copy the wa.me link into an email, SMS, website button or ad, open it straight in WhatsApp, or download the QR code for a brochure, invoice or site board.
Leave the phone number empty to get a share link (wa.me/?text=…) that lets you pick any chat for the same message.

What is a WhatsApp click-to-chat link?
It is a link in the format https://wa.me/<number> that opens a WhatsApp chat with that number without saving it to your contacts first. Adding ?text= with an encoded message prefills the chat box, so the customer or salesperson only has to tap Send.
What phone number format does a wa.me link need?
The full international number with digits only: country code followed by the number, with no plus sign, leading zero, spaces, dashes or brackets. For example, the Indian number 098765 43210 becomes 919876543210. This tool does that cleanup for you.
Is the message sent automatically when someone opens the link?
No. The link only opens the chat with the message prefilled. Nothing is sent until the person who opens it taps Send, and they can edit the text first.
Does this tool store or upload the numbers I enter?
No. The link and the QR code are generated by JavaScript in your browser. The phone numbers, names and messages you type are not sent to KroLead or saved by this page.
How does the {name} placeholder work?
Type {name} anywhere in the message and enter the customer's name in the name field; the tool inserts it into the link. If the name field is empty, {name} is removed so the greeting still reads naturally.
Do wa.me links work with WhatsApp Business and on a computer?
Yes. wa.me links work for numbers on WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business. On a phone they open the WhatsApp app; on a computer they open WhatsApp Desktop or WhatsApp Web, where you need to be logged in.
Can I create a link without a phone number?
Yes. Leave the number empty and keep a message. The tool gives you a https://wa.me/?text= share link, which lets the person opening it choose any chat to send the message to.
